1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies can recognise your device and collect information about your behaviour on the site.

Cookies can be:

• Session cookies – deleted automatically when the browser closes
• Persistent cookies – stored for a predefined period

Necessary cookies are used without consent, as they are technically required for the website to work.

All other cookies (statistics, preferences and so on) are used only with your consent, cf. the applicable cookie rules and GDPR Article 6(1)(a).

3. Which types of cookies do we use?

4. Third-party providers

We may use third-party providers for operations and analytics, including:

• Hosting and infrastructure services (e.g. AWS)
• CDN and security (e.g. Cloudflare)
• Analytics tools (where used)
• Tawk.to (in-app support chat) — the chat only loads once you click it yourself. When you open the chat, Tawk.to sets its own cookies, and your name and email may be shared with Tawk.to so support can see who they are talking to.

In some cases third parties may be independent data controllers.

If personal data is transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA, this is done in accordance with GDPR using approved transfer mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

If you have consented to marketing and subsequently complete a conversion with us (for example, creating an account), we pass information about that conversion to our conversion-tracking partner CustomOrders (contractsign.customorders.io). That information may include your name, your email and which ad or campaign brought you to us, and is used solely to measure how well our marketing performs. If you have not consented to marketing, we pass neither your name, your email nor any other contact details to CustomOrders. In that case only an internal id is shared, together with information about which ad or campaign the conversion can be attributed to. This is done on the basis of our legitimate interest in measuring the effect of our marketing (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), cf. section 4.3 of the privacy policy, and you may object to this processing at any time.

5. Retention period

The retention period depends on the individual cookie.

• Session cookies are deleted automatically when the browser closes.
• Persistent cookies are deleted automatically after the set period, or can be deleted manually by the user.

6. Managing and withdrawing consent

At any time you can:

• Change or withdraw your consent via the cookie banner
• Delete cookies in your browser
• Block cookies via your browser settings

Please note that some features may work in a limited way if cookies are declined.
